Bonhams 20th Century Decorative Arts Auction was led by Harry Bertoia's Dandelion sculpture, which sold for $152,000. The April 3 auction saw the sculptural piece pass its $150,000 top estimate, selling with a 1.7% increase.

A smaller version of the dandelion also put in a strong performance, bringing $52,500, while Bertoia's Bush, a work in welded, patinated bronze, sold for $25,000.
Total sales in Los Angeles exceeded $1.5m, with 90% of lots sold - a good indicator that the market for contemporary decorative arts remains buoyant.
