Christie's will hold its auction of Modern and Contemporary Prints on September 18 in London, with Erich Heckel's Stehendes Kind set to highlight.

The piece (1910-1911) is valued at £100,000-150,000 ($154,752-232,128). It is far from the highest valued lot in the sale, but is described by Christie's as "a "veritable icon of the period".
"It is an unforgettable image and must have come as a shock to those who first saw it in 1911, both for the nudity and its sheer visual force," commented head of prints Tim Schmelcher.
Also starring are works from Edvard Munch, Picasso, Warhol and Giorgio Morandi.
