The Christie's New York sale of Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolors on January 27 achieved a total of $39,526,500, with sell-through rates of 64% by lot, 65% by value.
The top lot of the sale was The Entrance to the Turkish Garden Café, 1812, by Louis Léopold Boilly (1761-1845), which set a new world auction record for the artist at $4,562,500.

It was purchased by Hazlitt, Gooden & Fox on behalf of the J. Paul Getty Museum.
Additional records were set for works by Gaetano Gandolfi (1734-1802), Jacob Duck (c. 1600-1667), and Alonso Cano (1601-1667).
