$8,000 baby carrier will sell among Native American treasures

Freeman's are holding a sale of American Design & American Indian Arts next week, on Monday April 19.

The sale includes a wealth of unique items, including this beaded buckskin Flathead cradleboard perhaps once used to carry an American Indian baby.

Dated to the early-20th century, the cradleboard is beaded with an embroidered sawtooth border, coloured white, blue, brown, metallic and green.
