A seven-piece sterling silver tea and coffee set by Tiffany & Co is to auction at Skinner in Boston on January 11 with a $20,000-30,000 estimate.
Produced in New York circa 1873-1891, the lot is decorated with a Persian influenced design of flowers and leaves.

Tiffany & Co traditionally performs well at auction due in large part to the enduring appeal of its design. In 2012, a set of Tiffany bowls and candelabra achieved $134,400 at Morphy in Pennsylvania - an increase of 124% on a $60,000 estimate.
A Russian .875 silver travelling tea service is another highlight of the sale, valued at $8,000-12,000.
Dating to St Petersburg circa 1908, the set is presented in a leather box marked with the monogram of the seller, MI Drozjin. Each item features a Cyrillic "VK", thought to stand for Vasily Kangin - a silversmith active in the late 19th and early 20th century.
A Martin Brothers miniature stoneware Wally bird jar and cover dating to around 1902 carries an estimate of $6,000-8,000.
The brothers are credited with having a modernising effect on British pottery in the latter half of the 19th century - with their bird sculptures being particularly well regarded.
