A custom Great Western Railway Castle Class 4-6-0 locomotive was the lead lot in a sale of model trains from the collection of pop Svengali Pete Waterman, achieving £100,000 ($149,993).
The auction took place at Dreweatts & Bloomsbury in London on April 16.
Waterman, who has nurtured a keen interest in railways throughout his life, explained prior to the sale: "I never ever thought about cost when commissioning these models - it was all about true quality, which ultimately is the only thing that matters.
"No expense was spared and I see these models as being akin to works of great art."
