The set features five classic cars, including an MG Midget and an Austin Healey, and is described as being in excellent to excellent plus condition.
A Dinky No 24Ut Simca Aronde Taxi Trade box also sold well, picking up a final bid of £1,080 ($1,675).
Reason has been a toy collector for many years and amassed one of the finest collections in the UK.
Louise Harker from Vectis explained to the Daily Mirror before the sale: "After deciding to move home and downsize Mike did not want his collection to be stored away, so he made the decision to sell.
"And what better way than through the auction house where approximately 75% was purchased."
The vintage toy market has been heating up of late, with Vectis holding another £230,000 ($339,560) sale earlier this year.
