An Albert Marque doll has set a new world record at auction after hammering for $300,000 at Theriault's in Florida - exceeding the previous record by 14%.
The doll is one of only 100 made by the company in 1916 in association with French fashion designer Jeanne Margaine-Lacroix.
The last record for an antique doll at auction was $263,000, set for another Albert Marque model in 2009.
