Very fine vertical pair of perforated essays printed by Harrison & Sons on "Harrison" script gummed watermarked paper, mounted on a small piece of cream card. Printed in red-brown and using the 3/4 portrait design (Type D) from a photograph by Lafayette. A very attractive and rare unadopted essay. This series of essay are presently unlisted but are to be included in the next Specialised Vol.2 Catalogue.
