A rare and highly desirable trial printing from the Victorian era.
A very fine unused bottom marginal example of the 1864 1d rose red from Plate 121, lettered 'TI', with small part original gum. Notably printed on Dr Perkins’ experimental blued security paper, representing a scarce and important trial printing. Also displays part of the marginal inscription in vivid red, adding further appeal.
