Beautiful signed Wallace and Gromit sketch by creator Nick Park
A white, portrait-format A4-size paper showing a hand-drawn sketch of animated characters Wallace and Gromit, with the message “Best wishes from Wallace + Gromit” and signed in the bottom right, boldly, by Nick Park. All in the same black, felt-tip pen.
This lovely image is the perfect way to celebrate two of the best-loved film characters of their age.
The pair were introduced in 1989 in the short film A Grand Day Out, and are now a fully fledged film franchise that has been to Hollywood and came back to Bristol.
Wallace, a late middle-aged northern man (originally voiced by the late Peter Sallis) and his dog Gromit (whose few noises are made by Ben Whitehead) were created by Nick Park at Aardman Animations, a company previously best known for the television character Morph.
Wallace and Gromit feature in four shorts and two feature films. All of them have been Oscar nominated and three (The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and The Curse of the Were Rabbit) have won.
This picture and autograph are a unique and charming tribute to one of Britain’s greatest ever filmmakers and two of the nation’s best-loved characters.
A must have.
