A very fine used example sent from London to Antwerp, cancelled by Lombard St. and London Ship Letter handstamp for 'JU.8.1840'.
Rated at "8" in manuscripted for the Ship Letter carriage and "10" decimes postage due from the recipient.
Backstamped with an oval framed "Angleterre Par Anvers" handstamp and Anvers and Bruxelles datestamps for 'JU.8.1840'.
A very attractive and rare overseas usage of the ill-fated Mulready envelope.

Accompanied with a 1998 British Philatelic Association (BPA) Certificate of Authenticity.
