Christie's Important English, Continental and American Silver sale on May 22 in New York will present collectors with an impressive selection by Paul Storr, Georg Jensen and Tiffany & Co.
The sale will offer over 200 precious works in silver and gold and highlighting the sale is a fine silver fish platter by Georg Jensen, Copenhagen, 1933-44 (estimated at $100,000-150,000) and an important French silver-gilt, gem-set jewel casket by Mention et Wagner of Paris, 1832-1838 (estimated at $40,000-60,000).
Treasures among the English silver sale include 86 lots of English Neoclassical and Regency Silver, led by masters such as Paul Storr, John Scofield, and Robert Sharp.

Elsewhere, the auction will offer 70 lots of Continental silver including 20 signature works from famed Danish silversmith, Georg Jensen, as well as Johan Rohde, one of his most prominent collaborators who helped establish the firm's leadership in the field of 20th century silver.

Leading the sale is a fine silver fish platter, cover and mazarine designed by Johan Rohde for Georg Jensen, Copenhagen, 1933-44, estimated at $100,000- 150,000.
Finally, completing the sale are a number of American Silver collectibles spanning the 18th to the
20th century, showcasing over 45 lots.
Highlighting this section is a rare American silver cup of racing interest, mark of Simeon
Soumaine, New York, circa 1732 (estimated at $15,000-25,000) and a pair of American silver seven light, monumental candelabra, Dominick & Haff, New York, 1894 (estimated at $35,000-45,000).
The sale will take place on May 19 in New York, with pre-sale viewings being held on May 15-18.
