Christie’s will sell a rare zoomorphic iron meteorite in its Science and Natural History sale in London on April 27.
The meteorite is known as 'the terrier from outer space'
Zoomorphic means “animal like”. The meteorite has been nicknamed “the terrier from outer space” due to its uncanny resemblance to a "Westie".
There's a large collector base for meteorites that look like animals. This is considered among the best in the world.
It was originally part of a meteor shower that ripped through the atmosphere over the Namibian desert several thousand years ago.
It’s valued at £50,000-70,000 ($62,396-99,834).
