Michael Jackson's continuing status as the "King of Pop" will be enhanced once more next week, when a sale of the late singer's memorabilia takes centre stage at Julien's 'Idols & Icons' auction.
The sale features more than 100 items from Jackson's life and career. From early Jackson 5 items, We Are the World memorabilia and MTV Video Award to personal and stage worn clothing from throughout Jackson's career.
His highest valued item is a Swarovski crystal-covered glove specially created for the Bad Tour, and one of the most recognized pieces of wardrobe in the history of pop culture. It has an estimated price of $20,000 - $30,000, but will surely see much higher.

Other notable pieces of costume include a military style jacket Jackson wore while celebrating Nelson Mandela's 78th birthday (Est. $10,000 - $20,000), and a black wool fedora worn during a performance of Beat It at Wembley Stadium in 1997 (Est. $4,000 - $6,000).

But not all of the costumes included belong to Jackson himself. The sale also includes a leather Bad-style costume custom made for his companion Bubbles the chimp (Est. $2,000- 4,000). Proceeds from this sale will benefit Bubbles' long term housing and care at the Centre for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida.
Michael Jackson's own home at Neverland Ranch held countless treasures of which only a few were ever sold. Statues and Neverland golf carts are among many of the rare Michael Jackson items that are offered for sale on December 3, and for his fans (and canny investors) it offers a chance to pick up some unique, never-before seen memorabilia.
