From November 12, collectors will be able to bid on the only complete set of flown lunar Bibles in existence, as part of RR Auction's latest online sale.

The set will open for bids at $10,000. The auction closes on November 21, by which time the Bibles will have undoubtedly seen strong bids.
The Bibles are all printed on microfilm, and include examples carried on board Apollo 12, 13 and 14. The collection can be deemed unique, as only one Bible was carried on the Apollo 12 mission. It also contains a Bible that returned to Earth with the near-disastrous Apollo 13 mission.
However, the highlight of the lot is the Bible that was carried to the lunar surface by Edgar Mitchell on the Apollo 14 mission, which was then presented to the family of astronaut Edward White after its return to Earth. White, along with Virgil "Gus" Grissom and Roger B Chaffee, died during prelaunch testing for the first manned Apollo mission.
Also included in the lot is Edgar Mitchell's Apollo 14 flown Personal Preference Kit (PPK), a group of documents and photographs relating to the Apollo Prayer League, and signed photographs of Edgar Mitchell.
