An iconic awning from notorious New York punk venue CBGB will auction at Sotheby's.
It hung above the door between 1988 and 2003 (skate punk band JFA are rumoured to have stolen the original).

It's expected to make around $25,000-35,000.
The much-loved venue closed in October 2006, following decades of hell-raising performances from bands such as the Ramones, Talking Heads and Agnostic Front.
The awning is being consigned by one of the venue's former managers, Drew Bushong.
He explained how he came by it.
"It was my day off and I was drunk at Mars Bar, the beautiful, nasty dive bar that was nearby.
"I think it was about 2004. I walked over to CB's to see if anyone was around and there was this box in the dumpsters outside.
"I had seen it before above [owner] Hilly's desk for a year or so. I remember thinking, 'Why is this in the trash?'
"I woke up the next morning - shoes on, I was rather hung over - and the box with the awning in it was sitting in my bed."
It's one of the many incredible lots offered in the December 10 From Folk to Fury sale in New York.
Others include John Lennon's Sgt Pepper piano, Brian Wilson's lyrics to Catch a Wave, Bob Dylan's Blowin' in the Wind lyrics and the Sex Pistols' 1977 jubilee boat party banner.
