A 1972 Hillman Avenger Tiger Mark I is expected to make up to £22,000 ($29,273) in an upcoming sale at Classic Car Auctions.
The lot is set to cross the block at the Warwickshire Exhibition Centre on December 2.
Hillman was the European arm of US company Chrysler and the Avenger clearly displays its American parentage.
It’s muscle car looks are backed up by a powerful 1500 GT engine.
Only around 200 of these Mark I models were ever made, of which 25 have survived in decent condition.
The car retains its classic Sundance Yellow colour scheme and black racing stripes. It was heavily renovated back in 2009, with a new interior and rebuilt engine, and has only racked up 1,000 miles since.
Richard Greenhalgh, specialist at Classic Car Auctions, said: “This is an extremely rare car.
“So few of the Mk1s were made that it’s no surprise that today they are so sought after worldwide, and this particular example is one of the best documented Series 1 Tigers left.
“This is a delightful, very original classic which will draw attention wherever it goes.
“It will make a fine addition to any collection and is suitable for taking to shows and classic road runs for all the family to enjoy.”
