Marilyn Monroe's Gentlemen Prefer Blondes script makes $23,000

A script used by Marilyn Monroe on the set of Gentlemen Prefer Blondes has sold for $22,689 in an online sale at RR Auction.

The lot, which features handwritten notations from the star, crossed the block on June 19.

Monroe Gentlemen Prefer
Gentlemen Prefer Blondes starred Marilyn Monroe in one of her biggest roles to date

It provides an extraordinary level of insight into the troubled star's mindset during filming - showing her attempts to build her own self-confidence.

At one point she writes "Feeling that feeds the words, know the lines, go over it intelligently" and "sense the feeling with the body".

Throughout the shoot, she would suffer with anxiety and self doubt - often locking herself away in her trailer.

There are also a number of changes to the dialogue, with Monroe replacing the line "Oh yes, tea with Lady Beekman. Why, she must of forgot. She didn't show up" with "Well, I just wanted to see the view. It's better from here."

We have a wide range of Monroe memorabilia available, including this signed newspaper clipping dating to 1951.

Frank Sinatra's 1934 driving license made $15,757.

The lot features a strong signature and a list of physical attributes (including the singer's famous blue eyes). It was issued when Sinatra was aged just 19, one year before he got his big break on the Major Bowes Amateur Hour with the Hoboken Four.

We have Frank Sinatra's very own golf bag for sale.
