Many of Marilyn Monroe's films are known to almost everyone - Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, The Seven Year Itch, The Prince and the Showgirl - but now a film has emerged which very few are familiar with.
The plot is a bit thin, and the camerawork is nothing to write home about, but Hollywood star Marilyn Monroe is present apparently smoking a joint. It is untitled, though inevitable suggestions such as 'Some like some Pot' have been offered.
Monroe is known to have used barbiturates, and is thought to have committed suicide by taking an overdose. She is not known to have had a long term cannabis habit however.
The film has been bought by collector Keya Morgan, who owns many pieces of Monroe memorabilia including her bible. He paid the anonymous cameraman who owns the home movie £165,250.
At Paul Fraser Collectibles we have some very covetable pieces of Monroe memorabilia of our own available: a signed cheque, an autographed magazine cover and even a piece of her lingerie.
Monroe remains an object of fascination around the world, and maintains a place in the list of top ten dead celebrity earners. Morgan is intending to release a documentary film in 2010 called Marilyn Monroe: Murder on Fifth Helena Drive claiming the star was killed.
