Militaria from World Wars, Korea and Vietnam to sell at Cowan's

Cowan's is holding its inaugural World of War Auction next Tuesday, June 22, offering a wealth of 20th century militaria.

Regalia from various conflicts will go under the hammer - including from the Great War, World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.

Among the World War II highlights is a collection of WWII German Navy ship tallies, estimated to sell for $3,000-5,000.

The lot comprises 32 ship tallies, including from the German Kriegsmarine torpedo boat, Wolf.

Also from Germany's Third Reich is a World War II German army panzer wrap piped for cavalry.

Consigned by the Portsmouth Museum of military history in Virginia, it has been valued at $4,000-6,000.

Elsewhere, a World War I rare US M8 Helmet will appear priced $1,500-2,500. The Ford Motor Co produced just 1,300 such examples during November, 1918.

The Cowan's auction will be held in Cincinnati, Ohio, US.
