General George Custer's sword selling for $15,500 at RR Auction

General George Armstrong Custer's sword is selling for $15,700 as part of RR Auction's latest online sale, which will close on June 19.

Custer's sword was gifted to his eldest brother and was owned by one of the top collectors of Custer memorabilia



The sword comes with fantastic provenance having been gifted by the legendary 7th Cavalry commander to his eldest brother, Nevin.

It was also once owned by Dr Lawrence A Frost, one of the most respected authorities on Custer memorabilia.

The sabre will be accompanied in the sale by a 7th Cavalry appointment signed by Custer, which is selling for $15,118.
