Beatle's $194,000 Lamborghini could prove a hit at Bonhams

Bonhams will be selling a 1967 Lamborghini 400GT 2+2 once owned by Paul McCartney at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK on July 1.

Beatles' cars often capture the attention of investors. In 1985, the psychedelic Rolls Royce Phantom V once owned by John Lennon sold for $2.29m.

Macca's right hand drive vehicle, which has attracted a pre-sale estimate of £100,000 - 120,000, joins a strong line-up for the annual sale of Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia.

'Baby, you can drive his car'

The highlight of the sale is a rare 1954 Aston Martin DB2/4 Cabriolet, previously owned by the racing driver, Innes Ireland.

Other important motor cars going under the hammer include a 1925 Bugatti Type 35, estimated at £400,000 - 500,000, and a 1926 Bugatti Type 37, valued at £120,000 - 160,000.
