A 1955 Porsche 356 Speedster is among the highlights of Morphy Auction's first Classic and Collectible Automobile Auction in Denver on October 11.
The model is among the most desirable the marque ever produced and was designed especially for the US market.

It's essentially a stripped down version of the standard 356, known for its highly distinctive coachwork, that was sold with bucket seats and a small windshield that could be removed for competing in races.
No estimates are available for the example in the sale, but comparable examples often sell for between $100,000-200,000.
The sale will feature a stripped down selection of classic cars, with an emphasis on quality over quantity. Founder and CEO Dan Morphy explained: "We've taken a different approach with our Classic Car auctions.
"Rather than conducting large-scale car auctions on a monthly basis, we decided to focus on just the cream of the crop - a smaller number of cars that are fresh to the market and truly qualify as 'special".
"It's a more personal approach, and we believe both consignors and bidders will respond very positively to this method."
The sale will span the decades, including everything from jazz age roadsters to the muscle cars of the 1960s and 1970s.
