The Little Prince illustration valued at up to $600,000

An illustration by Anton Saint-Exupery from The Little Prince (1943) is to auction at Artcurial in Paris with a $500,000-600,000 estimate on December 9.

The enormously popular book has sold over 140m copies worldwide, but the author never profited from it. He was killed in a plane crash in 1944, the year after its publication.

A previously unseen manuscript draft of the work sold for $479,515 at Artcurial in 2012.
