A triptych drawing of Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet drawn by EH Shepard has been consigned to Dominic Winter Auctioneers' December 12 sale of Children's & Illustrated Books & Modern First Editions in the UK.

The piece comes to auction just after Christie's and Sotheby's both offer major Pooh drawings on December 10, and could provide a good consolation prize for those that missed out, valued at £15,000-20,000 ($24,538-32,717) - a fraction of the prices seen at the leading auction houses.
A fantastic piece, it comprises three vignette illustrations of Pooh and Piglet tracking Woozle prints in the snow. The drawings illustrate chapter three of Winnie-the-Pooh (1926), the first of two AA Milne books dedicated to the famous bear, and is near identical to the published images.
The drawings were given to the consignors by their mother, who was in turn given them by Shepard himself, following several visits to his home in Lodsworth, West Sussex with her parents, who owned a local antique shop.
In 2008, Sotheby's sold an original sketch of Pooh and Piglet tracking a Woozle for £115,000 ($180,000). The world record for Shepard's work was set at Sotheby's December 2012 sale of the Michael Winner collection, with an early illustration selling for £139,250 ($224,505).
