A set of three silver pendants made by Pablo Picasso in the 1950s performed exceptionally well in a sale at Skinner on March 18.
A silver satyr's head made $153,000 against a $20,000 estimate, an increase of 665%. A silver sun achieved $141,000 against an identical valuation.
A pendant portrait of the artist's son, Claude, made $92,250.
The items were presented to actress Carole Mallory by Francoise Gilot, the mother of Claude Picasso to whom Mallory was engaged in the 1970s.
We have this autographed postcard of Picasso's Femme ivre se fatigue for sale.
