A selection of nude prints from some of the 20th century's most celebrated photographers is coming to auction at Sotheby's in November.
The works come from the collection of Magnum Photos, a Paris-based organisation established in 1947 to preserve photographic archives.

"I think our four founders - Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, David 'Chim' Seymour and George Rodger - would have approved," commented Abbas, president of the Magnum Endowment Fund, which is aiming to raise money for the organisation.
"I can sense their spiritual blessing for this auction at Sotheby's. We wanted this portfolio to be unique, and also to be a nice surprise, so the theme The Nude was a natural choice as Magnum is not known for its nudes."
Sixty-five works will go under the hammer in a single lot at the Paris sale on November 16, including pieces produced over the course of half a century by some of Magnum's leading photographers, such as Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Werner Bischof and Inge Morath.
The portfolio, which offers items ranging from the traditional to the innovative, is expected to make between €100,000-200,000 ($129,500-259,000).
Simone Klein, Sotheby's head of European photography, described it as a "unique portfolio of supreme quality, bringing together magnificent images - some never published".
