An iconic selection of Japanese woodblock prints is being sold in Christie's online only auction, which ends on August 7.

The auction features 146 of the most recognisable images from the traditional Japanese technique of woodblock printmaking, with estimates starting at just £600 ($1,010).
The highlight of the auction is an important English collection centred on Utagawa Kuniyoshi (1797-1861), one of the last great masters of the ukiyo-e style of woodblock prints. His Horyu Tower from the Hakkenden (Tale of the Eight Dogs), created circa 1840, is estimated at £5,000-7,000 ($8,4320-11,806)
Kuniyoshi's work occupies much of the sale, with Biography of Yoshitsune: Gojo Bridge at £4,000-6,000 ($6,746-10,119).
Kuniyoshi's peer Hiroshige also features in the sale - the two artists vie for the title of the last great master of ukiyo-e.
