An oil painting by Donald Duck artist Carl Barks was the star lot of Bonhams and TCM's Drawn to Film auction in New York on June 13.

It's titled the Golden Helmet and realised $31,250.
Barks worked at Disney from the mid-1930s until the 1960s.
He created many of the main characters in the Donald Duck comic book series, including Donald's nephews and Scrooge McDuck.
After he retired fans got in touch to commission him to paint scenes from the books. He's thought to have painted around 122.
The record is $262,900, set for a piece titled The Sport of Tycoons at Heritage Auctions in 2011.
