Dame Barbara Hepworth's Hollow Oval (January), a 1965 sculpture produced in a limited edition, has sold with impressive results at Christie's Modern and British Art Day Sale.

Numbered "MS B.H 7/9", the piece is also inscribed with the Morris Singer foundry mark and Hepworth's initials.
Made from polished bronze with a green patina on the interior, it sold for £206,500 ($332,052), making a 158.1% increase on its £80,000 high estimate at the November 21 auction in London.
The piece was consigned from the collection of Mrs Nelson A Rockefeller, wife of the former vice president who served under President Gerald Ford.
Another Hepworth sculpture, Figure (Chun), which was conceived in 1960 and produced in a limited edition of eight, sold for £152,500 ($245,220), up 154.1% on its £40,000-60,000 valuation.
Hepworth (1903-1975) is considered one of the finest British post-war sculptors, and her original work often far exceeds the prices seen at Christie's this week.
In fact, the world record for her work was set at Christie's previous Modern British Art sale in July, with Curved Form (Bryher II) selling for £2.4m ($3.6m).
