The celebrated interior designer Christopher Hodsoll will sell some of his furniture collection as part of Christie's Interiors auction on September 9-10.

London-based Hodsoll is well known for his list of illustrious clients, which includes the Rothschild family, Lily Safra, the Duke of Edinburgh and Charles Saatchi. Estimates in the collection, which spans 155 lots, range from £500 to £10,000 ($835-16,682).
The highlight of the collection is a George II grey painted console table with a finely carved side, which is valued at £10,000-15,000 ($16,682-25,024).
Sharing that estimate is a fine dining table in the manner of Robert Jupe, while two pairs of pale oak and ebony bookcases in the manner of Sir John Soane will sell at £2,000-3,000 ($3,346-5,004) per lot.
A pair of large gilt-bronze mounted malachite veneer urns provide a spectacular lot at £8,000-12,000 ($13,346-20,019), while a pair of glass, copper and steel Olympia wall appliques by Mark Brazier-Jones will see £1,500-2,000 ($2,502-3,336).
