Canada 1950-51 10c brown-purple Official, type O5 overprint, upper left corner block of 16 (2x8) with imprint, showing error OVERPRINT OMITTED on R7/1, SGO191a.
A fine unmounted mint block with full original gum (one normal with minor adhesion on reverse, not material to overall value).
An especially rare and desirable block, particularly in this fully positional form.
This stamp was part of a pictorial issue to highlight the natural resources of Canada depicting fur resources, with Indians drying skins on stretchers.
Accompanied with a Vincent Graves Greene certificate of authenticity (2003).
