St Helena 1935 Silver Jubilee 6d green and indigo and 1s slate and purple, in matching lower left corner blocks of 4, the 1s from vignette plate "4" showing diagnostic dot in sky high above Curfew (conical) Tower on R10/2, SG126/7.
A fine matching positional mint set with large part original gum (the lower pairs are unmounted mint).
Attractive set from this popular commemorative issue and extremely scarce in this positional form. Only 630 (6d) and 555 (1s) sheets were originally printed, from six (6d) and four (1s) vignette plates.
