  • A 1954 Royal Christmas card hand signed by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip

Queen Elizabeth II (1926 -) is the Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms.

She married her husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (1921 - 2021) in 1947, and ascended the British throne in 1952.

She remains Britain's longest-reigning monarch, and at 95 she is also the world's oldest living monarch, and the longest-serving female head of state in recorded world history.

This beautiful Christmas card was sent out in 1954, just two years after Elizabeth II was crowned Queen.

The card measure approximately 8" x 7" (16" x 7" when opened) and is in excellent condition

With two small pieces of tape affixed to the left-hand side which do not affect the photograph or signatures.

The family portrait features the Royal couple with their young children Prince Charles and Princess Anne on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The front cover of the card is blank, save for the Queen's embossed Royal crown crest.

The card is hand-signed by Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in black fountain pen ink directly beneath their portrait.

Both signatures are crisp, clear and unfaded.

The positioning of their signatures below the image makes this card an ideal display piece.
