A very fine used example with variety raised stop after "R" neatly cancelled by a crisp Aberdeen double ring circular date stamp for NO.1.1898, leaving variety clear.
A very scarce printing variety in such fine quality.
These Official stamps were used solely by government officials on government mail and were never sold to the public through post offices. Today they are highly sought after rarities.
Accompanied with a 2010 Royal Philatelic Society Certificate of Authenticity.
