South Africa 1899-1900 ½d to £5 Army Telegraphs (Boer War), 12 values (lacking the 8d), SGAT1/13.
A fine mint set with large part original gum. Some imperfections (gum wrinkles, ½d blue-green, £1 and £5 with creases) but still well above average for these issues with lovely fresh colours.
A scarce set of Army Telegraph stamps, particularly the £5 lilac and green.
The Stanley Gibbons catalogue value is £1,445.
Army Telegraph stamps were used for only a very short time between November 1899 and August 1990 during the second Anglo-Boer War in South Africa.
