A brilliant quality mint example with large part original gum. An exceptional example of this very rare stamp, with lovely fresh colour.
Accompanied with a British Philatelic Association (BPA) certificate of authenticity (1981).
An overseas postal service for foreign residents in Siam was operated by the British Consulate at Bangkok from 1858. Mail was despatched by steamer to Singapore and from 1876 overprinted Straits Settlements stamps were used.
