Bahamas 1873 (JU 10) cover to Gosport, England, franked at packet rate by 1863-80 1s green (SG38), perforations 12½, tied by fine 'AO5' numeral, with very fine 'PAID LIVERPOOL US PACKET' entry circular date stamp (8 JY73) in red at left.
On reverse, double arc despatch circular date stamp and arrival circular date stamp of 'JY 9 73'.
No flap, otherwise the cover is in superb condition. An exquisite and very rare single franking with the 1s perforations 12½.
Accompanied with a British Philatelic Association (BPA) certificate of authenticity (1992).
