Saturday (April 21) saw Christie's Hong Kong celebrating as its auction of Fine and Rare Wines brought HK$32,745,262 ($4.2m).
The "Vertical Sale" featured some fine examples of Burgundy and Bordeaux, with a 56 bottle lot of La Tache selling for HK$1.2m ($156,630).

The lot spanned almost every year from 1951-2008. The exotic Burgundy achieved top lot in the sale, with the illustrious Romanée-Conti close behind.
Three lots of the world's most coveted wine sold for HK$726,000 each. With just 6 bottles of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti in each of the lots, the sale cemented the wine's reputation as the top-seller on the market. The three vertical lots consisted of vintages from 1991-2007.
A further lot of Romanée-Conti appeared in the sale, this time comprising three magnums and one bottle. The 2001-2004 vintages made HK$580,000, against an estimate of HK$450,000-650,000.
A jeroboam of 1900 Chateau Latour Paulliac also featured, making an impressive 41.1% increase against an estimate of HK$250,000-300,000. This first growth wine saw a hammer price of HK$423,500 ($54,820).
Last week saw more impressive wine sales, with Sotheby's auction of a collection of Domaine Dujac realising $1.3m on Wednesday (April 18). The top lot of the auction was 12 bottles of Chateau Palmer 1961, which made $40,829.
