Dime that's worth a mint

A Canadian coin with a unique feature may be worth thousands of times its face value

A dime dated 2000 which was never meant for circulation is proving a worthy find for Canadians finding one jingling amongst their pocket change. Their rarity has pushed the value of one to $5,000 (Canadian).

The coins have a small 'P' beneath Elizabeth II's head, and were made differently because they were only meant for the testing of vending machines. But inevitably a few made it into people's wallets - wallets you wouldn't expect to hold $5,000 worth of coins.
