Historic £450k Aston Martin DB2 for sale
This legendary racer was once owned by 'DB' himself, Aston Martin chairman David Brown
To many car addicts, the VMF 64 needs no introduction. It has an exceptional race record, including notable performances in three gruelling Mille Miglias and two Le Mans 24-hour races.
And there can perhaps be no greater commendation than from David Brown, the chairman of Aston Martin. This very model was used as his personal means of transport in its early years.
So valued was Mr Brown's opinion, that the car was given its "DB" initials in honour of him.
The car was later sold by Mr Brown to a personal friend, and it has remained their family for over half a century.
Now RM Auctions is presenting it for auction in London on October 28, with an estimate of £250,000-450,000.
For classic car collectors and lovers of automotive history, this sale is a rare and unmissable opportunity.
Other DBs, namely the DB5 and DBS, are famous for being the chosen wheels of the fictional spy James Bond 007.
