Own 'the best looking Ferrari of its generation' for £65k

A competition-winning 1971 Ferrari Dino 246GT will drive onto a UK auction block, next month

"Arguably the best looking and sweetest driving Ferrari of its generation" will be sold by H&H auctions at the Pavilion Gardens in Buxton, Derbyshire, UK on February 16-17.

That's how the auctioneers are describing the 1971 Ferrari Dino 246GT, a car which has long been prized by enthusiasts.

Entering the current ownership in September 1978, this particular right-hand drive example competed in the Ferrari Maranello Challenge Series between 1985 and 1990, winning its class during 1988.

Treated to a bare metal respray and partial retrim some 19 years ago, the Dino has been exclusively maintained by Nick Cartwright Specialist Cars since the mid 1990s.

In traditional Ferrari red, it will sell with an estimate of £58,000-65,000.

As we have previously reported, a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Lightweight and a 1959 Jaguar XK150 S 3.4 Open Top Sports model will also feature in the sale.
