Millvina Dean (1912 –2009) (PF299)
Autograph of the last remaining survivor of the Titanic
Millvina Dean (1912 -2009) was the last remaining survivor of the RMS Titanic, after its fateful sinking in 1912. Dean was the youngest person on board the ship when it sank, at just nine weeks old. Along with her mother, sister and elder brother, she was rescued from the sinking vessel and brought to England.
Tragically, her father died along with 1,520 other passengers and crew. It was his quick thinking that saved his family. Upon hearing the ship scrape against the iceberg, he rushed his wife and children to a lifeboat, saying he would be along later.

This 12"x18" print bears Millvina Dean's fine autograph in black pen. Her signature is thoughtfully placed on a clear part of the image, above the ship. The black and white photograph shows the RMS Titanic on its departure from Southampton, and the word 'Titanic' is typed below in a soft blue-grey against a navy background.
