'Are You Experienced' album signed by the guitar legend

One of the most influential musicians of the 20^th century, Jimi Hendrix (1942-1970) was entirely self taught. He revolutionised electric guitar music, pioneering dynamic use of amplifier feedback and experimenting many effects on rock music within a studio setting.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience, with guitarist-turned-bassist Noel Redding and drummer Mitch Mitchell, both English musicians, formed in 1966. Their debut album, 'Are You Experienced" was released in the UK in 1967. On tour Hendrix proved his stage presence and, while promoting this album, he famously finished a set by lighting his guitar on fire.

A German pressing of the album 'Are You Experienced' by Jimi Hendrix, with a piece of clipped card adhered to the reverse, below the track list, signed in blue ballpoint pen ink across the bottom left corner by Hendrix, Mitch Mitchell across the top left and Noel Redding's autograph across the bottom right in fine black pen ink.

Inscribed in another hand 'Berlin, 31, 8, 1967'. A fine item with record included, some wearing to the edges of the sleeve.
