Are you a plane fanatic? Then this sale of vintage Boeing 747s in Malaysia could be for you.

The three jets - one passenger and two cargo - have been parked at Senai International Airport for the past 10 years, reports the country's Star newspaper.

Owned by an American firm, the three planes have accrued $250,000 in parking charges.

With the company unable or unwilling to pay up, the airport is now selling them for $1.3m each.

Boeing 747s are among the most iconic aircraft. The Washington-based company has produced more than 1,500 747s since the plane's introduction in 1970, yet the aircraft could become history within decades.

Boeing announced in July it was planning to end manufacture of the plane in 2019. With a lifespan of at most 40 years, come 2060 we may no longer see a 747 in the skies.
