A major exhibition of contraptions by Leonardo da Vinci has opened at the UNIQ Museum in Istanbul, Turkey.

The touring show originally opened in Bruges in May. It will run in Istanbul until April 7.
Around 100 of the master’s mechanical creations have been brought to life, including everything from parachutes and pulleys to crossbows and planes.
Da Vinci was the original Renaissance Man, seemingly capable of turning his hand to everything from the scientific to the arts.
In November, a Da Vinci painting became the most valuable artwork ever sold when it made $458.3m at auction.
