Vivienne Westwood 'Donut' photograph could sell for £15,000
The punk fashion designer and Malcolm McLaren's ex will cause a stir at Bonhams, next month
A photographic commission for Vivienne Westwood's 1994-95 On Liberty collection by Dutch duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin will auction at Bonhams on May 20.
Entitled Donut, Kym, for Vivienne Westwood, 1994, the image was used in a calendar and advertising campaign.
It will appear at Bonhams, London, with an estimate of £12,000-15,000.
The sale - organised by Bonhams' new photography department - will also feature three images by the leading American fashion photographer Lillian Bassman.
Bassman is attracting attention following an exhibition at Wapping Project Bankside, and a forthcoming show at Paul Smith.
The photographs include Jean Shrimpton, 1955 (estimated at £3,000-5,000); Nylon: A Natural Traveller, Margie Cato (£2,000-3,000), which was taken for Harper's Bazaar; and Park Avenue Woman, Mary Jane Russell (£2,000-3,000).
