The crypt in which Elvis Presley was first laid to rest is to auction on June 23, at a US music memorabilia sale.
The auction will also feature a stunning range of items from stars such as Keith Richards, Lady Gaga and Amy Winehouse. However, the Elvis crypt is expected to garner the strongest attention, offering the singer's fans a chance to lay in rest in the same spot as the King.

One of two places of pilgrimage for Elvis fans
Following his death in 1977, Elvis' body was temporarily entombed with his mother in the crypt at Forest Hill Cemetery, Tennessee. Two months later, both bodies were transported to the meditation park at Graceland, where they remain today.
The lot on offer includes the crypt with opening and closing privileges for burial, as well as access to a small chapel for a memorial service. Bidding for the crypt will start at $100,000.
Other Elvis items in the sale include a 14k gold E.P. pendant accentuated with diamonds, which was presented to Presley while on stage in Las Vegas in 1974. The extravagant pendant shares its estimate of $10,000-20,000 with a ruby and diamond ring, which was gifted by Elvis to his uncle, Vester Presley.
