A Bible gifted to Elvis Presley and featuring his handwritten annotations will sell as part of a dedicated sale of his memorabilia on September 8.

The auction is being held to commemorate the 35 year anniversary of the death of Elvis, which occurs today (August 16), following his passing in 1977. It will feature over 100 lots of rare Elvis memorabilia, many of which have never been seen at auction before.
The bible was given to Elvis back in 1957 by his uncle Vester and aunt Clettes Presley on his first Christmas at Graceland. The 1,600 page leather-bound book has "Elvis Presley" embossed in gold on the front and contains numerous examples of his handwriting, annotations and underlining throughout.
Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Vester Presley, in which he describes giving the Bible to Elvis, and a certificate of authenticity from Jimmy Velvet, Elvis' close personal friend and president of the Elvis Presley Museum, it will sell for £20,000-25,000 ($31,500-40,000).
Another highlight will be a personally owned and worn 14k gold TCB pendant and chain, which Elvis designed with Beverly Hills jeweller Lee Ableser of Schwartz and Ableser's Fine Jewellery. A number of the chains were given to Elvis' closest friends and the TCB logo (which stands for Taking Care of Business - the name Elvis gave to his band) featured on everything from his stationary to the tail of Lisa Marie's personal jet. It will sell with a £4,000-6,000 estimate.
Earlier this week a TCB necklace encrusted with 43 diamonds and given to comedian Jackie Kahane in thanks for supporting Elvis at a number of his shows sold for $12,500 at Heritage Auctions' own Elvis memorabilia sale. According to the auction house, the highest price achieved by one of the chains so far at auction is $120,000, which was achieved in 2009.
Our experts have sourced some great Elvis Presley memorabilia, which is available at superb prices. This autographed photo shows Elvis charismatically smiling into the lens while dressed in his military uniform. We are also offering collectors the chance to own an authentic strand of Elvis' hair, which was taken from the famous haircut he received before being conscripted.
